According to a recent survey, 92% of wholesale distributors consider Amazon to be a competitor and a threat to their business operations, and for good reason. Business analysts believe that the B2C eCommerce giant will soon enter the wholesale food distribution industry. If this comes to fruition, small and medium-sized food suppliers will be at risk.
Amazon is responsible for changing the way B2C consumers interact with retailers and purchase goods, and there is very little reason to believe they won’t do the same for B2B distributors and their wholesale buyers.
